Privacy notice

Last updated: 4 October 2026. This notice explains what Paperboy does with the information you send us.

Who we are

What we collect

• Your WhatsApp number and name, and the messages, voice notes and files you send us.
• Job details you include, which may contain your customer’s name and address.
• Your business details, logo and VAT number if you give them to us.
• Payment status if you subscribe (card details are handled by the payment provider, not by us).

How we use it

• To write your quotes and send them back to you.
• To flag anything in your note that might change the job, or a price that looks light.

We never contact your customers. We don’t sell or share anyone’s details for marketing.

Who processes it

We use a few services to run Paperboy: WhatsApp (Meta) for messages, Anthropic to draft the quote text, Stripe to take card payments, and Cloudflare to host this site. We turn voice notes into text ourselves; only if that fails do we use OpenAI. Some of these providers process data in the US. They only process your information to provide that service. A real person checks drafts before they’re sent to you.

How long we keep it

We keep your quotes and job notes for 12 months after your last message, so you can re-download them, then delete them. Ask and we delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by messaging us on WhatsApp, 07466 908920. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
